Day 9 - A picture of your make up Collection

May 15, 2013

It's been a long time since this challenge have gone over me.. =)

I know I was not able to keep up with the 30 day challenge (make up) on my blog due to long hours of work plus the time I have to keep up with my beloved son Adi.

He is growing up so fast, that being not able to see him most of the time is killing me.

I work 9.6 hours that 48 hours in a week and it is a struggle to keep a blog, a job and also take care of my son. But that part is what makes me feel that I am a super mom. I guess?!! It's never an easy job but the most rewarding of all.

I guess I might as well proceed with the post. Enough of the mommy rants, I'd rather post a separate one for that too. You know, i love my son so much and I miss him ALL THE TIME.

For you who have or might have been interested to see my makeup collection, scroll down below. =)
Most of them I got from AVON

these are some of my eyeshadows and eyeliners, eye primer, blending brush, etc. i got the palette from chic cosmetics. so far, the colors are good but some of the colors are chalky =(
.
my makeup collection!. all sorts of them =) i actually love eye shadows. and lipsticks. I am also on the look out for the perfect foundation that is why i haven't got hold of them yet. that liquid foundation I got from AVON. I'll do a review on that soon. I have been using it for a month now and so far I am loving it!

that's it for me.
hope you enjoyed reading!

Skin Care: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize

April 3, 2013

I have been starting to get conscious about my face since I have places my utmost closest attention on facial products especially make up. At the age of 26 and turning 27, I know I have aged and had to take care of my precious face.

I really aspire to have that flawless skin but unfortunately I don't. My face is no exception and it frustrates me sometimes to see those blackheads and oiliness that comes with it. My T-Zone is like so shiny you can swipe an oil blotting sheet and get it damped right then and there.

So, to end this misfortune that I so call, I am immensely taking this beauty ritual on a regular basis. I usually do just wash my face with just soap and water but then, I wanted to get that smooth and blemish free skin. I know sometimes I do have an unhealthy diet and I bet I should also start there. I'd like to take that opportunity to finally be conscious of what I eat. Maybe I'll do a separate challenge for that after this Skin Care 101 stabilizes and be part of my routine.

If only I have all the means to find and get a hand at all the Beauty products and facial treatments I would love to. But for now, let me just stick to these products that are affordable and somehow really work for me and my skin type. =)

First Step: Cleanse
I use the cleanser from the Tea Tree facial care set from AVON and the Eskinol Deep Cleanse Facial Cleanser. First, I wash my face with the tea tree cleanser. I love it cause it has micro beads present that will really get down on the pores of your face, but I only get a pea-sized amount. What i don't like about it is that it is quite rocky and somewhat strong on the skin but for me it just serves its purpose since I have an oily type of skin. It feels really refreshing after washing my face with it.

What I use for my face after washing and scrubbing is the Deep Cleanser from Eskinol, I love this product since it can gently clean away dirt and makeup on your face. Plus it also prevents blackheads and also whitens! =) This is what I am using as of the moment but the one in green variant is what I really love.

Second Step: Tone

After all the scrubbing and those deep cleansing on our pores, we need to apply a toner to tone down the pores of our skin. Toners help to close out the pores and get that smooth and flawless face. What I am using as the moment is the one from PONDs. It is an oil solution toner, perfect for my oily skin. What I don't like about this product is that is that stingy feel after I placed some on my face. I prefer the one from AVON though since it is much gentler and has that soothing effect on my face right after application. I can feel my skin now and has soften and is much smoother. Makes me want to purchase toners from AVON. For only 129 pesos why not.

Final Step: Moisturize

I love this moisturizer! I use it for day time and I apply it before my liquid foundation. It sits perfectly and it whitened my skin. I love this product so much! It also has SPF great for the sun's heat especially when i am out for errands.

AVON Rose and Rose hips whitening cream

And here is a look of my face after a 2 weeks of using the cleanser and toner products. For the moisturizer, i have used it for a month now and I would definitely repurchase. I can't go out without it. =)

What you think about it? What are your beauty rituals?

Challenge: DAY 8 - Fave Daytime Look

March 11, 2013

Hi!!

How are you doing? Today, I am posting for Day 8 of my 30 Day Makeup Challenge.
My favorite day time look is the Natural Look, which is what most of the ladies should be sporting.
We know that we don't want to look very clownish when it comes to putting on makeup.

We should feel comfortable about how we look and somehow flaunt our natural beauty and facial features.
Want to achieve that Natural Look?

Here is a video from Julianne Kaye of Maybelline New York:

Day 6 - Are you into False eyelashes?

February 8, 2013

Hi Good Day to all my readers!

How's your day been?

Today I will be posting Day 6 of my 30 day Makeup Challenge.

ANSWER:

I have been viewing a lot of make up tutorials in you tube in the likes of noe of colorismyweapon, ana patricia and a whole lot more...

For me false eyelashes are essential to achieve those striking eyes but I don't deem it to be a necessity for everyday use.

Practically speaking, I don't use it for the purpose of beauty but because I work in the office and most of the time I spend facing the computer.

But I would love to try those too, I would prefer the natural hair ones since it would look like my lashes and not so overdo my everyday look. =)

DAY 7 - Fave Eyeshadow Color Palette

January 31, 2013

Hi how are you doing today?

My question for the challenge is a tough one since I am an eye makeup type of girl.
I love colors especially on the eyes and perhaps for me the eye is the most catching feature a woman has and accentuating it with the perfect shades of shadows would be unkaboggable! (cannot be outwon).

I have tried  various eye shadows as well from cosmetic brands like AVON, Ever Bilena, Colors Cosmetics (Colour Collection from Tupperware Brands) and also some China made products in the market.

January 20, 2013

Hello!

Thanks again for dropping by into my blog. It's Sinulog once again here in Cebu and I am just so sad that I myself could not make it into joining this year's Grand Mardi Gras. It is already my second year in a row since last year I just got pregnant with my first baby boy A.

So today, I will be appreciating the TV programs just as always have been. Off to blogging now, since Baby A's sound asleep.

My fifth day of the 30 day make up challenge, and today I will be answering the question, what is my favorite lip product.

Answer:

As of the moment, my favorite lip product are the ones from LA Girl , you can read my review on that HERE .
I also love the Lipsticks from AVON, lately I have been raving about their Ultra moisture rich lipsticks in Rose, I hope to do a review soon.
The products I want to try out in the near coming days are the products from MAC and the Matte Lipsticks from NYX.

That's it for me now!
Thanks for reading and keep you posted on my challenge as well as my latest hauls.

Ciao!

Day 4 - Do you like wearing foundation?

January 17, 2013

HI Lovelies!

How is your day today? I hope everything in your life is going smoothly.

Today I will be answering the 4th question for the 30 day makeup challenge.

You might wanna read my recent post: Miss Cebu 2013 Winners

ANSWER:

I don't usually wear foundation daily to work. I allow my skin/face to breathe from all the chemicals on my face. I usually just dab on my powder from Johnsons and Johnsons to get that fresh and oil free look on my face. However, early in the morning I do apply a facial cream/moisturizer from AVON you might want to read my post HERE.

I do wear BB creams the ones I used were from Maybelline but I eventually stopped using it since it increases the oiliness in my face. I am on the look out for that perfect Matte Foundation in the market.
I am a fan of concealers as well. They help hide my blemishes.

That's it for me now.

How about you? What products of foundation do you wear?
Leave your comments. I would love to hear from you.

Ciao!

Day 3 - Favorite Brand of Makeup?

January 14, 2013

Hi!

Great Monday to everyone!
I am now off to my third day of the 30 day Makeup Challenge.

I am still a new beauty blogger and from then I haven't used so many beauty products.
The ones which I opt to purchase are the products from AVON.

You might wanna read: Last December Make up Haul
They are of high quality and really suit the Asian skin and the kind of weather we have in the Philippines.

As of the moment. I am loving The face shop blusher and the eyeliner from PALLADIO.
I am still not at the stable point of saying or choosing my favorite yet since I personally haven't tried much of those high end make up products as of the moment but hoping to eventually try soon.

For my skin care, I am loving OLAY and MAXIPEEL.
I also use AVON skin care products such such the Rose Hip toner and cleanser as well as their moisturizer.

The make up brand which I am hooking to try for this year are REVLON, MAC and MAYBELLINE.

That is it for me now. Till Then!

XO,

Day 2 - How did you learn to put on makeup?

January 11, 2013

Hi!

Down to Day 2 of my challenge and the question above how did I learn to put on makeup?

Well, I guess I have had shared my take on when I started putting make up on my face.
I cannot really remember the exact date that I was able to put make up on my face I just started with some lipgloss and face powder and that was just about it.

I think, my girl cousins first introduced my entire teenage days to make up =).
They were a bit older than me so I got the chance to see how they applied those make up on their pretty faces.

When I started college there I came around applying some lipstick and mascara from time to time.
I think that is about it.

How about you? How did learn about putting on makeup?
Do Share.

till then!

Ciao,

DAY 1: When did you start putting on makeup?

Hi!

I am doing this challenge and today will be my first and second day. The questions are all listed here .
As you may all know if you have read my post HERE, I am doing this as a tag post.
So, you might want to check out this blog for updates on this make up challenge that I am doing.

As far as I can remember, my first encounter with make up was when I was still 5 years old.  well, my aunt used to place makeup on my face and dress me up like I was some sort of a doll.. back at school, I was a dancer, and you know the trick to fancy our already pretty faces , are but a dub of powder, lipstick and blush-ons... I just love looking pretty, if I was really. From that time I was a teenager I got myself quite comfortable wearing just lipgloss and a little powder on my face. I started wearing makeup occasionally when I reached college.

That's it for now.
HAVE a NICE DAY!!!

REPOST: Makeup Tools 101: A Beginner's Guide

January 4, 2013

Girlfriend, I know your makeup bag is bursting with, well, makeup, but to get the most out of your cosmetics collection, you need the right tools for the job. Take your makeup application to the next level. Behold: Makeup Tools 101. Written by Karen, Makeupandbeautyblog.com

Makeup Tools

Remember using those tiny sponge applicators with play makeup when you were a kid? It's time to ditch those wee makeup brushes and wands that come packaged with compacts and eyeshadow palettes. Sure, they'll work in a pinch, like when you're running late for work or need a quick pre-date touch-up, but to get the most out of her makeup collection, a girl really needs the right tools for the job.

It's Amazing what make up can Do: A Makeover 101 at Watsons Ayala

November 26, 2012

It's Amazing really what make up can do. I was strolling by Ayala to get some cute umbrellas for the rainy season. But see what I found, myself at watsons for their great make up sale... =)

I was really hooking for the lipstick grab since I am out of stock nowadays since I gave birth to my baby boy last August. I just came back from work mid October so what can I say, i was having that "losyang" image right then and there and I just need some makeover.

A picture taken right before the make over. =) Sooo.... ngarag! hehehe LOL!
Forgive me about the outfit, as I am really probing the losyang look. XD grin.

Repost: Make up Do's And Dont's

(VoistMagazine) Would you shake someone’s hand after just witnessing them dig up their nose? How about touching a door knob after someone sneezed then touched the knob with their germy hand? Or put your chip in the party sauce that a stranger in front of you double dipped into? Of course you wouldn’t, unless you want to end up with a cold or some kind of harmful bacterial infection.
What about sharing makeup: You run out of mascara as you’re getting ready for a party, photo shoot or just a girls’ night at home, would you use your friend’s? Sure why not, it’s harmless… isn’t it?
Absolutely NOT! The truth is, makeup (especially eye makeup like mascara) can harbor harmful bacteria and cause infection if it is not properly stored and used, especially if kept passed its expiration date.

Whitening is iN???

February 10, 2010

I've been really curious about the whitening effects of some beauty products nowadays.
You know, whitening stuffs, glutathione and all..

They have even come in many forms. From the usual soaps to capsules to injectibles.
At first glance, I wouldn't mind taking one since I am part of the percentage of asian women who happen to belong under the fair-skinned.
I mean, I am proud of my color. I am proud to be brown.
But just the fact I don't seem to be confident enough about my skin. I am only 23 turning 24.
I guess, I should make a move on properly caring for my wellness and inner health.

At first, I hesitated due to the fact that this intakes costs about half a 100 bucks.
I still tried, thinking it would be a good risk after all.
Anyways, I'll have to witness and see the results myself.

To my surprise, everything came into account and the process went on for a month now.
I must admit I have noticing real effects and has brought me the confidence and the inner health I pervently need even before.

My officemates noticed how my skin glew. (Soon I'll be posting my before and after pics here..LOLZ! Just so you know)..

Anyways, not only that I noticed I lose weight. And became even more fit. LOLZ! I am really surprised.
I noticed my skin became smoother and my hair grew faster now...

I feel so much bliss! The money is all worth it guyz! Try it..:-)

You Might Enjoy
